(July 2010) FDIC fraudulent email circulating Emails are circulating claiming to be from the FDIC asking you to check your bank's deposit insurance coverage. The message says you are receiving the email because you are a a holder of an FDIC insured bank account and the FDIC is taking control of its assets. The email contains a link to check your deposit insurance coverage. The intent of this email is to obtain your personal information. ACH fraudulent email circulating Companies/ individuals are receiving email with the subject "REJECTED ACH TRANSACTION" claiming to be from NACHA - The Electronic Payments Association. The email contains a link that redirects to a fake website (looks like the NACHA site) and installs a virus on your computer. Phone Scam
